Help and support
If the answer is not here, get in touch — we reply personally, and during the pilot usually the same day.
Getting started
Check your equipment is supported
The list below shows exactly what we read and what we can control today.
Connect your devices
Cloud services connect with your own account. Equipment that only lives on your home network is reached through a small gateway we lend you.
Watch in monitor-only mode
The system observes and shows what it would have done. Nothing is controlled until you say so.
Turn control on
You set the limits — minimum battery level, hours, what may be controlled.
Common questions
Do I have to change electricity supplier?
No. Hubilus reads the spot price and controls your own equipment. Your contract and your meter are unchanged.
How much will I save?
It depends entirely on your equipment and your grid contract. Price arbitrage on a small battery is modest; what usually weighs more is shaving the monthly peak, shifting EV charging and using more of your own solar. We show the outcome as it happens rather than promising a figure.
Do I need a gateway?
Only for equipment with no cloud API — a Modbus inverter or ventilation on your home network, for instance. Pure cloud services connect without hardware.
What happens if the internet drops?
Equipment carries on as normal. The gateway has a safe fallback and resumes when the connection returns.
Who runs Hubilus?
Mexior AB, a Swedish company. Contact details are in the terms.
How do I connect a device?
Log in and go to Settings → Devices. Cloud services connect with your own account at the manufacturer; equipment on your home network needs a gateway and is reached through it.
Can I turn control off?
Yes, at any time. Under Settings → Automation you can switch control off entirely or per device. The system keeps reading and showing.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the pilot, and the gateway is on loan. The price afterwards is set once we can show the benefit in your home, net of the fee.
If something is not working
The gateway shows as offline
Check it has power and your wifi is up. It reconnects by itself within a minute or so. If it stays offline for more than a quarter of an hour, get in touch.
A device shows no values
Cloud services sometimes need reconnecting after a password or permission change — the device card says so when that happens.
The plan looks empty
The plan is built once the day's prices are published. New prices arrive around 13:00 the day before.
